Man Flying From Dubai To Cape Town Found In Possession Of Cocaine Worth R2.4m
On Tuesday, police confiscated drugs worth R2.4 million at the Cape Town International Airport.
Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi, a spokesman for the provincial police, reported that 4 kg of cocaine was confiscated.

He claimed that after learning of a passenger trafficking drugs, the provincial organized crime narcotics unit officers reacted.
“They confiscated 4kg of cocaine wrapped in chocolate wrappings hidden in the luggage of one of the passengers.”
The suspect, who is 37 years old, arrived in Cape Town from Dubai. Just before midday, police searched and profiled passengers getting off a flight from Dubai, according to Swartbooi.

A man, 37, was taken into custody. The suspect will show up in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court after being charged.
In an unrelated incident, the Hawks stopped a shipment of cocaine worth R400 million. Elias Radebe, 42, Ebrahim Kara, 39, and Meshack Mzungezi Ngobese, 47, were detained and charged with drug trafficking.
