MaMkhize to build houses for 20 destitute families in KZN

Businesswoman Shaun Mkhize has pledged to give back to the community of KwaZulu-Natal by building 20 houses for some of the families left displaced and homeless by the devastating floods.

“I cannot imagine what those families are going through. Imagine having lost everything and now being forced to be accommodated in a hall. I can’t just fold my arms and do nothing about this situation.”

MaMkhize said that the provincial human settlements department would be the to identify the beneficiaries of the 20 house. She said she would not be involved in the selection.

“I don’t know who is going to benefit because it is not my call. I have asked the municipality to identify about 20 families from the affected communities.
