MaMkhize: Mnisi Is Still On Leave

There’s still no development with regards to Royal AM CEO Sinky Mnisi on when his leave with the club will end.

Royal AM president Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize said Mnisi decided to take a leave and things are still as that.

Mnisi took the leave from the club a few months ago after strong talks that his relationship with MaMkhize had deteriorated due to a lack of trust

During the off season, accusations were levelled against Mnisi about the appointment of Khabo Zondo, who had not been coaching in the top flight for years.

Mnisi was also accused of selling Royal AM’s most prized player, striker Victor Letsoalo to Sekhukhune instead of to Kaizer Chiefs.

Mnisi came out guns blazing in response to those rumours, and blasted “MaMkhize” for failing to protect him from malicious allegations, insisting that he was still employed in his post at the KwaZulu-Natal club.

Even though Mnisi has been absent, he said at the press conference early August that he was still receiving his salary from the club.

When asked by iDiski Times to give the latest update on Mnisi, MaMkhize was unwilling to share when her CEO will be back in the club as Royal AM have played 11 matches now without him.

“Why?” she asked when she was quizzed to give an update on Mnisi.

“He told you guys that he was taking a leave. What more do you want [me] to say?”

She then drove off from the parking lots at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday after her club defeated Mbabane Highlanders 2-0 (2-0 on aggregate) in the Caf Confederation Cup preliminary round.

Mnisi was appointed by Royal AM as the CEO ahead of the 2020/21 season.
