Mamelodi Sundowns have officially confirmed the signing of 25-year-old Colombian striker Brayan León Muñiz from Independiente Medellín.

The Betway Premiership champions secured the forward on a three-year deal for a fee estimated at R63 million ($3.5 million), signaling their intent to remain the dominant force in African football.

Muñiz arrives at Chloorkop with a proven track record, having registered 48 career goals and 30 assists. His versatile style of play and aggressive high pressing make him the ideal successor to Lucas Ribeiro.

The Masandawana faithful have already embraced the signing, with many fans labeling the powerful attacker a “beast” for his clinical finishing and trademark long-range “rocket” shots.

This signing follows the January acquisitions of winger Monnapule Saleng and defender Khulumani Ndamane.

Together, these reinforcements form the backbone of Sundowns’ ambitious push to defend their league title and secure a long-awaited second CAF Champions League trophy.
