Mama Joy publicly supports Morocco for AFCON finals 2025

South Africa’s superfan Mama Joy has thrown her support behind Morocco as the North African nation prepares to contest the AFCON 2025 final on Sunday night.

Known for passionately backing Bafana Bafana, Joy Chauke has since extended her support to other teams following South Africa’s exit from the tournament.

Earlier in the competition, she publicly supported Nigeria, who went on to secure third place after their match against Egypt.

Taking to social media on Sunday, Mama Joy shared a video of herself wrapped in the Moroccan flag while seated in a car alongside a Moroccan man.

In the clip, she proudly declared her allegiance to the host nation ahead of the highly anticipated final.

“Am supporting Morocco today ,,, you know the story ,,, Thanks for your hospitality Morocco today am with you ,,, Dankoo let’s see,” she captioned the post.

Her show of support quickly ignited debate online.

While some social media users welcomed her backing and thanked her for standing with Morocco, others were unconvinced, predicting that Senegal would lift the trophy instead.

What do you think about Mama Joy’s support?
