Malmö Monitoring Bafana Midfielder – iDiski Times

Bafana Bafana midfielder Luke Le Roux has been subject of interest from Allsvenskan giants Malmö after another impressive season in Sweden.

Le Roux, 22, made his senior international debut in September against Sierra Leone and has featured in every game under Hugo Broos since.

His performances in their international friendlies have seemingly solidified his place in the squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in March and he could be representing a new club by then.

Malmö are among the several suitors in the Swedish top-flight that have been casting an eye over his talent, having playing an integral role in helping Varbergs BoiS retain their top-flight status for another season.

Head coach Joakim Persson admitted they may not be able to keep hold of him and ranks him as one of the best midfielders in the league.

iDiski Times understands that no formal offers have been made to the club as of yet, two weeks since their season ended, but it seems likely that a venture outside of Sweden will be preferred for his next move.

Sparta Rotterdam and Cercle Brugge were keen admirers of his talents in previous months but it remains to be seen whether interest would be revisited in the upcoming January window.
