Gugu wants to know what Imani and James discussed when she walked in on them. They were debating whether or not to inform her that one of their friends, Mpho, was staying with her kidnapper, Rosemary. Imani dismisses it and lies that they wanted to let her know that Mpho’s mental state is deteriorating; they told her she couldn’t speak to Mpho about any of this. If only Gugu knew the truth. James reassures Tenda that they won’t tell anyone they are hosting a fugitive. The bond between Mpho and Rosemary is strengthening.
Rosemary should not be alone in Tenda’s home because he fears she will steal everything. He promises her that because he worked hard to attain everything in the house, he won’t ever leave her there alone. Tenda asks his sidekick to keep an eye on Rosemary. Oxford appears offended when Rosemary calls him Tenda’s sidekick and a lapdog; she seems to be getting under his skin with all the insults. Gugu visited Mpho and was horrified to discover that Mpho had been housing the person who drugged and abducted her. It seemed like everyone’s efforts had been in vain.
Even though the chief was able to disperse the mob planning to attack the royal house, he still faces harsh criticism from the neighbourhood radio station and accusations that he was responsible for the former mayor’s murder. The royal family and Susan herself are being attacked, and the chief is furious with Susan and Rendani for falling for Tenda’s tricks. There are contracts and emails linking Tenda to everything, so they attempt to seize these as soon as possible in the hopes of releasing them to the media to disassociate themselves from being connected to corruption and the murder of the former mayor after being set up by the evil Tenda.
Unfortunately, when Susan gets home, she learns that her laptop, which contained all the evidence against Tenda, was taken by someone who claimed to be from her place of employment. Susan is shocked by this news and believes that Tenda is the devil incarnate because he is always one step ahead of everyone. When she received her laptop, all of the emails connecting Tenda to corruption had been erased. When Zama learns Tenda’s true colours, she is shocked.
The chief suggests they start an NGO so Makhadzi can receive credit for all of her work since she has been taking money from the royal family while claiming to be helping people fix their homes and other things. However, Makhadzi refuses because she is aware that she has never allowed anyone and that all that money was used for gambling, and she is afraid the truth will be revealed. She explains that she doesn’t want people to know she helped all these needy people and that it wasn’t done for the show. However, the chief demands that she reveal every person she helped to restore public confidence in the royal family. The lie by Makhadzi has Vhangani shaken. Will she tell them the truth if the chief follows through on his plan to find Makhadzi’s financial aid recipients to improve the royal family’s reputation?
