It looks like Venda-born singer Makhadzi is at it again, and one of her clients is complaining after the star was a no-show at an event he booked her for. Makhadzi is getting called out after her team failed to refund a businessman from Limpopo who had booked her to perform for his workers. The businessman leaked chats between him and Makhadzi’s management in which he was asking for his money back.
According to a businessman from Steelport, he booked Makhadzi for a party he was throwing for his workers, and the musician did not come. The businessman paid Makhadzi more than R95 000 for her to go to his Employee’s safety event. The singer, however, gave an excuse that she was not feeling well after her one-woman show in Limpopo, which the client understood.
Makhadzi’s team agreed to refund the money by 10 October
Makhadzi’s group decided to pay back the money they had received from the businessman and paid R40 000. The payment had been made on 28 September for an event which was supposed to happen on 4 October. Seth, the businessman from Limpopo, communicated with Molau Rammala from Open Mic Productions to get a refund.
The refund of R40 000 was made on 7 October with a promise that the rest would be refunded on the 10th of the same month. Weeks later, Seth was still waiting for his money, and Molau came up with story after story and still did not pay him back. On18 October, Seth finally got a hold of Rammala, who said he would transfer the money by 8 pm that day, but the payment did not come through.
Other Scandals where Makhadzi was a no-show
This is not the first time Makhadzi has been entwined in dramas by not appearing at events she has been booked for. She issued a public apology last time for not showing up at the Northern Cape Heritage Festival, which was paid in full. Before that, she was also a no-show at the Dundee July event, leading her to a fight with Inno Morolong afterwards over no-show. Many people have complained that the musician lets her management agree and collect money for events she doesn’t attend.
