Major League DJz bags international nod

South African DJ duo Major League DJz are celebrating a major international milestone after receiving a nomination at the Miami Electronic Dance Music Awards.

The duo took to Twitter to share the exciting news, writing:

“From the balcony… to the world 🌍 One of our first Afro House records to break internationally just got us nominated for the Miami Electronic Dance Music Awards – Best Afro House 🙏🏾❤️
Thank you for believing in this new journey with us.”

The nominated track, Come with Me, features British singer Jorja Smith and marks one of Major League DJz’s first records to gain global recognition.

Another South African DJ, Shimza, has also been nominated in the same category, reflecting the growing international impact of South African Afro House music.
