Lunathi Mampofu gets baptised | Bona Magazine

South African actress Lunathi Mampofu declared her faith in the Lord, as she recently shared her baptism.

Lunathi, who is currently playing the lead role of Zoleka Bikitsha on Inimba, shared that she has been reborn in the love of Christ. Former The River actress joins a list of celebrities who also walked on this journey, such as Lunga Shabalala, Candice Modiselle-Sello, Ntobeko Sishi, Gigi Lamayne, Stogie T, and Gogo Skhotheni, among others.

Taking to her Instagram page, Lunathi shared a video clip of her baptism alongside other congregants. Captioning her post, she wrote: “Washed, renewed, and reborn in His love. Today, I got baptised and my heart is full. Lunathi uThando lukaThixo (God’s love is with us),” she penned.

 

Happy for her, Instagram users weighed in:

Actress, Sive Mabuya said: “Yay Sis, Makabongwe (praise be to God).”

Media personality, Zizo Tshwete said: “We thank the Lord for your life.”

While another user said :”Rejoicing with you on your baptism day! What a glorious moment to declare your faith publicly — may your life shine even brighter for His glory!”

Lunathi made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with the roles she played on The River, Isikizi, Ingozi, 1802: Love Defies Time, Levels, Fatal Seduction and Kings of Joburg among others.

After high school she studied at AFDA in Cape Town, and she was introduced into acting on her first year for a feature film called Mercy and many others.
