Longwe Twala has been arrested and detained at the Douglasdale police station near Fourways in Johannesburg.

Longwe was arrested alongside his brother Sello.

Sources told Scrolla.Africa that the duo will appear in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

The siblings’ father, legendary music producer Chicco Sello Twala, opened a case at the police station. The police arrested the brothers on Monday for breaking into their father’s studio while on drugs and stealing equipment worth thousands of rands.

In reaction, Chicco said he won’t sit and watch a drug addict continuously stealing from him and be silent.

“Yes I can confirm that when I was in the USA, my son Longwe and his brother Sello Twala colluded and stole my equipment in the studio.

“Longwe, whom I chased away a while ago because of his drug addiction, jumped the high walls and broke into my studio and stole my stuff.”

He added: “I saw the likes of the late Hope Zinde and many parents killed by their own flesh and blood because of this drug addiction.

“They take advantage because they are my kids. To hell with them.

“Him and his younger brother have been stealing from me for a long time – hence I decided that enough was enough. Let them rot in jail.”
