Liyema Pantsi gains 20K Instagram followers after big win

Award-winning influencer and artist Liyema Pantsi has reached a new milestone after being crowned the winner of Big Brother Mzansi Season 6: Bazozwa. The star was announced as the winner on Sunday, 22 March 2026, closing the season on a high note.

However, it is not just the title that has people talking. Liyema’s Instagram following has seen a major boost following her victory.

OVER 20 000 FOLLOWERS GAINED OVERNIGHT

Shortly after her win, Liyema Pantsi gained over 20,000 new followers on Instagram. Before entering the Big Brother Mzansi Season 6 house, she had around 512,000 followers. That number has now grown to an impressive 535,000.

This rapid increase shows just how strong her fan base, known as the “lilies,” has become. Her supporters have clearly stood by her throughout her journey and celebrated her return to the show.

A SECOND CHANCE THAT PAID OFF FOR LIYEMA PANTSI

Liyema first appeared on Big Brother Mzansi Season 4: S’ya Mosha, where she quickly became a fan favourite. Her journey took an unexpected turn when she chose to take R250,000 and exit the house on Day 57, giving up her chance at the grand prize.

Her return in Season 6 as one of the four housemates given a second chance proved to be worth it. Fans rallied behind her, and even media personality Somizi Mhlongo publicly shared his excitement about her win.

LIYEMA PANTSI SHARES GRATITUDE WITH HER FANS

Following her victory, Liyema shared a heartfelt message on Instagram thanking her supporters for standing by her.

“This journey started on the 4th of January, and if we’re being honest, a lot of us didn’t know what to expect. But that scripture kept ringing in our hearts — ‘I know the thoughts I think towards you, thoughts of good and not of evil.’

Through it all, God used LLF to remind us that He wasn’t done with Liema. This second chance wasn’t by accident – it had a purpose.

Thank you to every single person who stood by her, even when it didn’t look good. You didn’t move, you didn’t fold… you stayed. And because of that, we witnessed the growth, the strength, the evolution.

You carried her on your shoulders and never let her fall. We see you, we appreciate you, and we’re deeply grateful. This win was personal for every single one of us… and the lilies showed up and delivered.”
