LIVE | Richards Bay vs Kaizer Chiefs

Posted on March 3, 2026

Kaizer Chiefs have had little time to recover from their Soweto derby loss on Saturday as they look to bounce back against Richards Bay in their next Betway Premiership clash.

Amakhosi travel to the uMhlathuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay for Tuesday evening’s encounter.

Reset their focus

After a tough weekend, the players and coaches have reset their focus on the next challenge in their quest to return to continental competition, a dream that requires finishing in the league’s top three.

Richards Bay, meanwhile, have not played since their 1-0 defeat to AmaZulu on 20 February.

By contrast, Kaizer Chiefs, who were in action on Saturday, will be contesting their third match in just a week having also played – and lost – against Stellenbosch FC on 24 February.

Aiming for a ‘double’

On the log, Kaizer Chiefs are in fifth place with 30 points from 17 matches, while their hosts sit 12th with 20 points from 18 games.

Amakhosi will be aiming to complete the double over the Natal Rich Boys, having beaten them 1-0 at FNB Stadium back in August 2025.

Tickets for Tuesday’s match sold out quickly with many eager to catch a glimpse of the Glamour Boys who have never played in Richards Bay before.

Fans without tickets can follow the action live on SuperSport’s Channel 202 on DStv at 19:30, with commentary on various SABC radio stations.

Other matches on Tuesday

There are two other Betway Premiership fixtures scheduled for Tuesday, 3 March.

Siwelele FC welcome Stellenbosch FC to the Free State Stadium, while TS Galaxy and Orbit College will clash at the Mbombela Stadium in Mbombela.

All three matches will kick off at 19:30.

Prediction

Richards Bay 1-2 Kaizer Chiefs
