Liquideep reunites after a decade

Liquideep has finally ended their long break, bringing joy to fans who have been waiting years to hear their signature sound again.

Jonathan “Ziyon” Hamilton and Thabo “Ryzor” Shokgolo confirmed their reunion on 24 September 2025, sharing the news in a playful video on X.

In the clip, which quickly went viral, the pair poked fun at their past fame before revealing that they were officially back together.

Since forming in Johannesburg in 2007, Liquideep carved out a special place in South African music, with their debut project Fabrics of the Heart going multi-platinum and delivering classics like “Alone” and “Fairytale.”

Their impact was further recognised in 2011 when they walked away with multiple South African Music Awards, cementing their reputation as one of the most influential house acts of their era.

Now, more than a decade after stepping away, the duo is returning to the stage with live shows lined up, including a performance in Durban on 1 November and another in Bloemfontein.

While no new album has been announced, a refreshed version of their song “BBM” has sparked speculation that fresh music could be on the horizon.
