Limpopo musician Melita Mogale, popularly known as Kharishma, is in a critical condition and fighting for her life in hospital following a near-fatal accident that occurred on Friday, 31 October 2025.

Initial reports suggest that the Chokeslam hitmaker was travelling with another passenger, who also sustained injuries. Sadly, the driver of the vehicle succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The horrific crash took place between Grobler and Magazyn streets in Polokwane. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, and police have launched an investigation.

The Limpopo Artists Movement (LAM) confirmed the news to media houses, saying members had visited the artist in hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

This is not the first time tragedy has struck; Kharishma previously survived another serious accident in August 2024.
