Limpopo Businessman Shot Dead Near Hazyview
A 35-year-old Limpopo businessman, Adriano dos Santos, was tragically shot dead near Hazyview in Mpumalanga on Friday morning. The incident has left the community in disbelief and has raised concerns about the safety of individuals in the area.
According to the police, Dos Santos was travelling in a white Toyota Fortuner with a driver to meet someone in Nelspruit. Their journey took an unexpected turn when, as they were passing through Hazyview, the driver received a phone call. The driver stopped the vehicle next to a fuel station, a few meters away from the roadside.

It was at this moment that a white Nissan NP200, without any number plates, pulled up next to them. An unidentified occupant of the Nissan got out of the vehicle and approached Dos Santos, firing three shots at him without any warning or provocation. The assailants then quickly fled the scene, leaving the victim bleeding profusely and his companion in a state of shock.
Tragically, Dos Santos succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and police are currently investigating all possible leads to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
