Limpopo Boy’s future at children’s entertainment programme uncertain after private video leak
South African dancer and choreographer Limpopo Boy is facing scrutiny over his role working with children at Christian Progressive College following the circulation of an alleged private intimate video.
The footage allegedly involving Limpopo Boy circulated widely on social media on Sunday, 9 August 2026, prompting questions about the professional consequences for the dancer, who has worked closely with young performers through CPC Stars.
Limpopo Boy has been involved with CPC Stars, the entertainment arm of the Pretoria-based Christian Progressive College, for about two years. His responsibilities have included choreography, marketing, media training, and helping develop the learners’ entertainment careers. The programme involves about 21 learners who participate in dance, music, and content-creation activities outside their normal schoolwork.
His involvement with the programme is now under renewed scrutiny following the leak, with questions being raised about whether he should continue working directly with children.
Limpopo Boy’s role at CPC Stars is particularly significant because of the level of access and influence he has had over the young performers. He has previously been involved in training the learners and helping manage their public-facing entertainment activities.
In March 2026, Limpopo Boy publicly defended CPC Stars after allegations emerged that learners were being subjected to exploitative, “slave-like” contracts linked to bursaries and content creation. He rejected the allegations, saying participation in the programme was voluntary and took place after school hours. He said the initiative was intended to develop the learners’ talents and keep them away from the streets.
The Gauteng Department of Education subsequently became involved in the broader controversy surrounding the school after allegations were raised about arrangements involving learners and their creative work.
