Life Lessons With Somizi heads to S3

The podcast, titled Life Lessons With Somizi, is expected to bring Somizi’s distinctive personality and perspectives to audiences through the SABC’s broadcasting platform.

The move from its originally announced YouTube debut to a broadcast deal with S3 expands the project’s potential reach, allowing it to connect with viewers beyond digital platforms.

While podcasts have traditionally been associated with audio streaming services and online video platforms, broadcasters have increasingly explored ways to incorporate podcast-style content into their programming offerings.

For Somizi, the project adds another venture to his established entertainment career, which spans television, radio, music and live entertainment. OkMzansi reported that Life Lessons With Somizi is set to air on 2 November from 18:00 to 19:00.

Somizi takes on executive producer role

Beyond being the face of the podcast, Somizi is also its executive producer, giving him a role in shaping the production.

The title Life Lessons With Somizi suggests a focus on experiences, reflections and lessons drawn from life, although further details about the podcast’s format, guests and broadcast schedule have yet to be confirmed in the information available.

The SABC’s acquisition brings the project to S3, the broadcaster’s entertainment channel, opening a new chapter for the podcast as it prepares to reach television audiences.

Further announcements are expected to clarify when Life Lessons With Somizi will premiere on S3 and whether it will also be available on YouTube or other digital platforms.
