Media personality and former Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni is beaming with pride after she realised her childhood dream by launching her own signature scent.

Liesl recently took to her Instagram page to share a video clip of herself and her loved ones celebrating her new scent with Glade. In the video clip, Liesl looked stunning in a purple designer gown.

Friends and family gathered in celebration as she unveiled her scent named African Violet. “From dream to scent. Little Liesl would be so proud right now. This season has shown me that I’ve become the woman younger me would look up to — and that fills my heart with so much gratitude,” she penned.

Describing her scent, she said: “Watching African Violet come to life has been surreal — it’s an African-inspired fragrance that celebrates softness, strength, and everything in between. As part of the new Signature Scents by Glade, this one is truly close to home. Can’t wait for you to experience it, my cuties.”

Liesl also excitedly took to her Instagram stories to share the news.“So excited to announce this. Glade, thank you for such a stunning partnership. Don’t forget to show all your love here my cuties.”

Instagram users weighed in:

One user said:”I concur. What a woman! What a treasure it is to stand by your side and watch you do the things! And you smell nice.”

Another one said: “Thirdly, a bestie is snatched! We shall be buying it in abundance.”

While media personality Melanie Bala said: “What!?! OK now I’m extra sad that I didn’t get to witness this in person. This is absolutely beautiful Sis and so well deserved. I will definitely be getting me some.”
