Liesl Laurie celebrates a special moment with heartfelt post

South African model, media personality and former Miss South Africa 2015, Liesl Laurie Mthombeni, recently took to social media to celebrate her husband, Doctor Musa Mthombeni, as he turned 36.

The media personality shared a series of beautiful pictures of the couple together, giving fans a glimpse into their loving relationship. Alongside the images, she wrote a touching birthday message dedicated to her husband.

“To my favorite person in the world, happy birthday! I am so incredibly proud of the man you are and the life we’re building together. You truly are my greatest blessing and my safest place to land.

I’m endlessly grateful for you—despite the chaotic Arsenal-induced screaming matches with the TV and the fact that you ‘borrow’ my socks until they’re twice their original size.

It feels so strange being apart for your birthday for the first time in five years. I’m counting down the moments until I can see you so that I can have every restaurant sing those uncomfortably loud birthday songs at our table and bring you a banana split with a sparkler.

I love you more than I could ever put into words. See you soon, my husband!”

MUSA SHARES A HUMOROUS MESSAGE

Musa Mthombeni also marked his special day by sharing his own humorous birthday message. Known for his fun personality, he reflected on turning 36 in a light-hearted way.

“An angel was born today… it’s that time once again and for the first time in my very short life, I will no longer be regarded as a ‘youth’. My goodness! How the mighty have fallen!

36 is a crazy age because I feel like I should be an adult but at the same time I’m the same person that gets excited at the thought of staying up and watching movies on a weeknight when I’m being naughty with my wife. Youth Endala nkosiyam.

Ama-1k awasafani! My age may make it seem like I’m a Malume, Unc, Grootman but when we see each other, please refer to me as ‘The Sweet and Innocent Young man from the Vaal.’ That’s all I ask.

Also, it’s fair to start judging Lies for being married to an older man. I think I’ve reached that stage of life now!”

LIESL AND MUSA’S LOVE CONTINUES TO GROW

The couple also recently celebrated 58 months of marriage together and will mark five years in August 2026. Musa previously shared on Instagram, “Happy monthiversary my baby. Happy 56 months married my baby! So easy to love…”

Just a week ago, Musa faced rumours of cheating while on a boys’ trip in Thailand. However, he quickly addressed the claims and dismissed them as false.

With birthday celebrations and milestones continuing to roll in, Liesl Laurie and Musa Mthombeni are once again showing Mzansi that their love remains strong.
