Actress Lerato Nxumalo has responded to gossip blogger Musa Khawula’s viral post that allegedly showed her husband’s picture.

The former Scandal! star addressed the situation on her Instagram Stories on Friday, 17 October 2025, revealing that she and her husband are pursuing legal action.

Khawula made headlines earlier in the week after sharing a photo online, claiming it was Nxumalo’s husband.

The post quickly spread across social media, sparking conversations and drawing mixed reactions from fans.

In her statement, Nxumalo expressed frustration over the incident, writing that they are taking legal steps against “all blogs, TikTok users, and YouTube channels” that circulated the false information in the past 48 hours, using Khawula’s post as their source.

Social media user @MissHatla also shared a screenshot of Nxumalo’s post on X, further amplifying the actress’s response.

Nxumalo included a message from the man whose image Khawula shared, where he stated: “I am aware that my picture is currently circulating online and being associated with your account.”

He added that the false association had caused him distress, saying he’s received “thousands of friend requests” and that the incident has negatively affected both his business and his family.

The Genesis actress, who recently tied the knot with her Swedish fiancé, has since received messages of support from fans who called for accountability and urged people to verify information before spreading it online.

She is tired of y’all, so many requests for someone that is not even her husband, oh South Ah😭
