South African media personality Lerato Kganyago made headlines over the weekend as it emerged that her husband, Thami Ndala, has been ordered by the Johannesburg High Court to vacate a Northcliff luxury property he had been occupying.

The order concerns the Hillel Villa and Spa, located at 14 Hillel Avenue, where Ndala had leased and developed the premises into a hotel and spa.

Court documents, reported by Daily Sun on 7 March 2026, state: “The first respondent is ejected from the immovable property situated in 14 Hillel Avenue, Northcliff, Johannesburg.”

The ruling also bars Ndala and his company from harassing any member of the applicant or contractors employed to secure the property, and authorizes the Sheriff to take necessary steps to enforce the eviction.

The property was purchased by Urban Mountain director Feizal Esposito Lorgat for R4.5 million on 19 April 2021 and subsequently leased to Ndala’s company for R28,000 per month on 17 August 2021.

The dispute arose after Ndala occupied and developed the premises, leading to legal proceedings over ownership and tenancy rights.

Ndala and Kganyago had previously drawn attention when videos of the media personality celebrating the acquisition and development of the hotel and spa circulated online.

The court’s ruling effectively removes Ndala and his company from the property, marking another development in the ongoing legal dispute over the Northcliff luxury estate.
