Leeroy Sidambe, Mihlali Ndamase’s Boyfriend, Faces Arrest for Child Maintenance Neglect

Leeroy Sidambe, a Zimbabwean-born businessman and partner of socialite Mihlali Ndamase, is reportedly facing an arrest warrant for failing to fulfill his financial and parental obligations towards one of his children.

According to Sunday World, Sidambe’s ex-girlfriend took legal action against him for allegedly not paying child maintenance for their child.

The Booysens Magistrate’s Court in Johannesburg issued the warrant on March 3, granting the police three months to execute it or provide a report if they fail to do so.

The child in question was born a month before Sidambe’s estranged wife, Mary-Jane Sidambe, gave birth to their first child in 2007.

At that time, Mary-Jane was still his girlfriend, and they got married in 2016.

Sources reveal that Sidambe’s baby mama started requesting child maintenance after her mother, who had been supporting her son, passed away in 2012.

She went to court to compel Sidambe to pay R4,000 per month, but despite repeated requests, he has allegedly only been paying the same amount since.

An official familiar with the situation expressed frustration, stating, “The baby doesn’t exist in his life. All he does or says are empty promises. He can do everything for his friends but not his child.”

Efforts to serve Sidambe with the subpoena were reportedly unsuccessful as he was not present at his office during the delivery.

Sidambe claimed to be unaware of the arrest warrant when questioned about it.

In a separate incident, it was recently reported that Mihlali’s boyfriend had also failed to pay Sassa guards employed by his company, the Sakhile Ezweni Group.

The situation has allegedly persisted for some time, with irregular payments causing financial strain for the guards.

Sidambe reportedly made promises to pay on certain dates but failed to follow through, leaving workers without transportation funds and unpaid salaries.
