Lebo M Foundation rallies behind Minnie Dlamini in bold GBV stand

The Lebo M Foundation condemns all forms of gender-based violence and voices staunch support for Minnie Dlamini and survivors across our nation.

LEBO M FOUNDATION SPEAKS OUT

The Lebo M Foundation is calling on South Africans to get loud and bold about ending gender-based violence. In a powerful statement, the foundation slammed abuse in all its forms, refusing to let survivors suffer quietly any longer.

The foundation made it clear that every woman’s pain matters, and it’s time to break the silence and demand real change.

“This is not just Minnie’s fight – it is South Africa’s fight. Too many of our mothers, sisters, and daughters live in fear every day. We can no longer allow GBV to remain a private issue hidden behind closed doors.

“The courts must hear the voices of women, and as a nation, we must refuse to be silent. The Lebo M Foundation commits to standing on the frontlines of this struggle until justice and dignity are restored to every survivor,” said Lebo M, founder of the Lebo M Foundation.

LEBO M FOUNDATION DEMANDS GBV BE TREATED WITH URGENCY AS A NATIONAL CRISIS

Lebo M Foundation calls on the government, justice system, and society to treat GBV with urgency like any national crisis.

The Foundation said it will engage with survivor networks, including WhatsApp GBV support groups, bringing their voices to the national conversation.

WHAT HAPPENED TO MINNIE?

Before the Foundation’s statement, podcaster MacG targeted Minnie Dlamini following her breakup with Dr Brian Monaisa.

On Podcast and Chill, MacG made degrading remarks regarding Minnie’s hygiene and her ability to maintain relationships.

Public outrage erupted, sparking condemnation from outlets like Moja Love, as Deputy Minister Letsike labelled it online gender-based violence.

MacG later issued an apology, but Minnie firmly rejected it, calling it hollow, choosing instead to pursue legal action.

Dlamini confirmed she’s suing both MacG and his co-host, Sol Phenduka.
