Lasizwe makes TV comeback as he reunites with DStv after brief fallout

Lasizwe

Lasizwe Dambuza is officially back on DStv, just weeks after their partnership ended in the wake of his public clash with Dominic Zaca.

The popular YouTuber confirmed the news and revealed that a special episode of his hit YouTube series Awkward Dates will be airing on the channel.

Lasizwe’s collaboration with DStv was first announced in April 2025 as part of a groundbreaking deal with local content creators.

However, the partnership was cut short a few months later, with both parties giving different reasons for the split.

Now, it seems the air has been cleared. Entertainment blogger MDN News reported that MultiChoice, DStv’s parent company, reached out to renegotiate with Lasizwe.

According to insiders, the broadcaster was “extremely happy to work with him” but “quietly disappointed” when Awkward Dates was pulled off air.

The new arrangement will reportedly see Awkward Dates returning to TV, starting with a special episode on Mzansi Magic.
