Lasizwe joins the cast of ‘The Perfect Picture’ for season two

When he’s not busy creating content in front of the camera, media personality Lasizwe Dambuza can be found enjoying life in front of it. Recently, Lasizwe has taken on a new challenge by joining the cast of ‘The Perfect Picture’ for its second season. The celebrity reality show tests its participants’ photography skills and allows them to learn and grow.

In an interview with Sunday World, Lasizwe shared his motivations for joining the show. He explained that he wanted to show people a different side of himself and challenge himself in a new way. Despite having limited knowledge about cameras and photography, Lasizwe was excited to learn and develop new skills.

“I took on the challenge to show that I’m not just funny. I watched the first season, and I got a gist of the show. So I was like I’m always the one in front of the camera trying to get the perfect pose, I wonder what it’s like getting the perfect picture,” said Lasizwe.

Over the course of a month, Lasizwe and his fellow participants learned various photography techniques, including night, day, animal, and motion photography. Despite the intensity of the training and the steep learning curve, Lasizwe embraced the challenge and even overcame one of his phobias – that of animals – during one of the challenges.

“I would never consider going to photography because it is intense and it has its people, you really need to have a calling for it. I don’t want to be falling into the category of being one of those, whose photos are questionable,” said Lasizwe.

After completing the show, Lasizwe is considering using his newfound skills to open a photography business. He believes this experience has given him a new accolade and credibility in the industry.

The show, hosted by Maps Maponyane, will air on e.tv on July 23rd and features other participants such as Gugu Khati, Luyanda Mzazi, Zahira Marthy, Ivan Roux, Anele Zondo, Jonathan Boynton-Lee, Tshego Koke, and Christall Kay. With nine episodes, viewers can look forward to seeing Lasizwe and his fellow participants put their photography skills to the test.
