La Passe coach James Barra has named three Mamelodi Sundowns stars that are dangerous in the field of play who pose a threat and can destroy them on Sunday in the CAF Champions League.

He picked Themba Zwane, Gaston Sirino and Marcelo Allende as players they should be aware of.

Barra and his charges know Sundowns very well. The mentor revealed that they watch DStv Premiership matches on DStv in Seychelles.

“I know many of them because I watch South African football on DStv every time, so I know about the team. The players also know about the team, they watch South African football,” Barra told Sundowns media department.

“I know [Themba] Zwane, [Gaston] Sirino and the new one the Chilean that has come in [Marcelo Allende].”

Barra further revealed that they are expecting a difficult match mainly because most of their players are amateurs and not professional footballers, however they are talented.

“We expect a very difficult match, we know it will be a very difficult match for us as. We are amateurs not professionals, the players work then they come for football.

“Our team is full of talents, there are a few young players and we going to try our best in this match.

“We don’t have any injuries now, the boys are ready they know what they are going to expect during this match,” Barra added.

Masandawana head into the match as favourites. They will play both matches at home after La Passe’s request because stadium was below standards required by CAF.

Sundowns co-coach Rulani Mokwena believes that could give them a slight edge over their opponents.

The South African treble winning champions are going for gold this season. The Tshwane side made it clear that winning the CAF Champions League is their priority.

Kickoff at Loftus Versfeld is at 4pm.
