KwaNobuhle Mass Murder: Five Suspects Detained

The police in the Eastern Cape have made significant progress in the investigation of the mass murder in KwaNobuhle, with the arrest of five suspects within 48 hours of the brutal killings at a suspected drug den.

The arrests took place in KwaNobuhle, Acadia, and Bethelsdorp in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The suspects, aged between 21 and 34, are believed to have forcefully entered a suspected drug house in KwaNobuhle on Tuesday night, resulting in the deaths of six individuals and injuries to at least four others.

SAPS spokesperson, Priscilla Naidu informed SurgeZirc SA that the breakthrough in the case was achieved through the collaborative efforts of a task team consisting of the Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes, Crime Intelligence, Tactical Response Team, and Anti-Gang Units.

The incident is suspected to be drug-related, and the suspects have been detained on charges of murder and attempted murder.

The Provincial Police Commissioner commended the officers involved in the arrests, acknowledging their unwavering commitment, exceptional skill, and tireless efforts in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
