Kwa Mai Mai fire claims one live and leave over 400 people homeless

A raging fire broke out at an informal settlement near Kwa Mai Mai in Johannesburg in the early hours of Sunday morning.

At least one person has been killed in a fire  and over 400 people left destitute. Another person was also injured during the blaze and was transported to the hospital by emergency services.

The Mayor of Joburg, Mpho Phalatse has assured victims affected by a fire that there will be temporary shelter offered to them.
