South Africa youth international Kobamelo Kodisang is poised for a move to Grupo Desportivo de Chaves on loan for the 2022/23 season.

Kodisang, 22, has been strongly linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs in recent months has now agreed to join the newly-promoted side on a season-long loan.

Mike Makaab, his representative of ProSport international had made it clear that if Barga has no intention of making him part of the first team, they would push for the top-flight move.

Makaab also said that they wanted to bring Kodisang to Kaizer Chiefs, but talks between both clubs had hit a road block, with Kodisang now remaining in Portugal.

The switch which holds an option to make the deal permanent, should both parties agree, was concluded on Monday after weeks of speculation, according to reports in Portugal.

Kodisang has scored 16 goals in 55 games for Braga B since joining the club from the now-defunct Bidvest Wits but was scouted during a loan switch at third-tier Portuguese side Sanjoanense back in the 2018/19 season.

He made his first-team debut for Braga during the second half of the 2021/22 season but had started pre-season once again with Braga B.
