Kodisang Scores Again As He Turns Out Against Fellow SA Talent

Kobamelo Kodisang bagged his eighth goal of the season as he featured against another South African talent emerging in Portugal this weekend.

His Moreirense side took on Estrela da Amadora in the Allianz Cup this weekend and ran out 4-2 winners, scoring the final goal of the game.

KZN Academy graduate Nkanyiso Shinga was on the losing side as he played out the full 90 minutes in his preferred left-wing back role.

While Koba has stolen most of the headlines this season with his goalscoring exploits, Shinga has silently made his way up the Portuguese professional football ladder in recent years.

He first left South Africa alongside Bafana Bafana midfielder Yaya Sithole for the Vitória Setúbal U19 squad back in 2018, before moving up to the U23s.

Stints at Pinhalnovense and Juventude Évora followed as he sought regular senior football before landing the second-tier move with Estrela.

The 22-year-old has featured five times in the first team this season and will no doubt be seeking to emulate his compatriots who’ve featured for the national team.
