Baroka FC interim coach Vincent Kobola has warned Chippa United ahead of their relegation battle on Saturday.
Koloba was appointed as Bakgakga’s interim coach after the demotion of Kgoloko Thobejane to their Diski Challenge team.
The 37-year-old started his stint with an important 1-0 win over Lamontville Golden Arrows and will hope to get another three points when Baroka take on the Chilli Boys on Saturday.
“Obviously it’s gonna be a big one, they are also not safe and I think they are gonna come at us,” Kobola told the club’s media department.
“They are playing home and they don’t have a good record at home, but we gonna come and give our all. We gonna run more than them and jump higher than them and we gonna put extra effort because we really wanna save the club.
“Not really, I can’t show [I feel the] pressure. What about the players then, if I show pressure? Then that means the players also will give up.
“For me the most important thing is to motivate them cause I can’t change formations and staff, it’s too late for that. So we just need to motivate the players and let them know how good they are.”
Chippa last beat Baroka in the Eastern Cape in 2018, drawing one and losing one since. This fixture also doesn’t produce too many goals – out of the last eight head-to-head clashes, only two had more than one goal.
