Jürgen Klopp has announced his retirement from management just two months after stepping down as Liverpool boss.
Speaking at the International coaches congress meeting in Wuerzburg, the 57-year-old responded to links with the vacant England managerial post.
“At the moment there’s nothing job-wise. No club, no country. A few people must not have heard that part,” Klopp said.
The legendary manager won all there was to win at Liverpool and initially said he would take a year away from football before making any further decisions.
After 23 years in club management, he has now made his decision, though – officially ruling out any future coaching ventures.
“Will I be a coach again? I would actually rule that out at the moment. Let’s see how it looks in a few months. At the moment, there’s nothing in the pipeline,” Klopp added.
“From today, it’s over for me as a coach. I didn’t leave on a whim; it was a collective decision. I have also managed some of the best clubs in the world.”
“I still want to work in football and help people with my experience and contacts. Let’s see what else there is for me.”
