King Misuzulu KaZwelithini, once known for his strength and speed as a rugby winger, has now taken up golf.

This new talent was on display during his 50th birthday celebration on Monday at the uMhlali Country Club in Ballito, north of Durban.

The King, who once led his rugby team to New Zealand in 1994 while studying at St Charles College in Pietermaritzburg, entertained fans with his golf skills.

At the time, the school was under the leadership of Principal Allen van Blerk, and the rugby team was coached by retired headmaster Ronnie Kuhn.

On Monday, King Misuzulu played in a golf tournament alongside other royals, including Inkosi Mabhudu Tembe, regular golfers, and top business leaders.

During the AmaZulu King Golf Tournament, His Majesty spoke out against violence towards women, urging men to accept breakups without resorting to harm.

“We need to protect our women, and if a woman decides to break up with you, don’t kill her. Instead, accept it and move on,” he said.

The King later celebrated his birthday at an exclusive dinner in Ballito, attended by members of the royal family and special guests.
