Popular actress and media personality Khanyi Mbau has “bought a new face.”
She underwent a procedure called blepharoplasty, which is a more permanent option compared to Botox and fillers for a structured, tight face.
This surgery helps reduce bags under the eyes and tightens the skin around the eyelids.
On Wednesday night, Mbau posted an Instagram video saying: “Now we bake, and we bought a new face.”
Besides the eye surgery, Mbau also had a lip lift to enhance the shape of her lips.
Her face is still healing and will take a few weeks to look normal. She said the recovery process would take time and that her face might look worse before it gets better.
She thanked her nurse for helping her through the process and mentioned that she was wearing a “face bra” during recovery.
Mbau is no stranger to cosmetic surgery.
In 2017, she talked about getting liposuction to prepare for summer and shared her experience with fans.
In 2019, she also admitted that 90% of her skin tone resulted from cosmetic procedures, including skin-lightening, which she prefers because it is lower maintenance.
