Khanyi Mbau Bashes The Wife Season 2 ‘Poor Storyline’
At this point, we all know The Wife is close to death and nothing like many expected! Can we shock you by telling you that even Khanyi Mbau is disappointed by the poor storyline?
Well, the actress who plays the role of Zandile in the popular series has left the social media streets buzzing after she decided to ‘tell it like it this’. What we don’t know though is if that came right from her mind or one of the producers inspired her thoughts.

So earlier today Khanyi took to Twitter to talk about The Wife storyline that has suddenly gone cold. Just before we get into the Twitter thread can we start by discussing the series itself and what viewers were expecting.
The series is inspired by Hlomu: The Wife a book which many SAns have read. The book itself delves more into MaHlomu and Mqhele Zulu’s love story. Their love is strong and they stand by each other through good and bad. Meanwhile, The Zulu brothers are rich, handsome, powerful, dangerous and don’t compromise their unity.
However, the Showmax series failed to live up to the standards of the books save to say that its crew admitted that the series was just inspired by the book and they’re not telling the actual story.
However, where they got it all wrong was when they omitted the spark and affection everyone expected from Hlomu and Mqhele. And by making her sleep with Mqhele’s brother portrays that the brothers aren’t united.
At that point, viewers were convinced that they’ve lost the plot and have been murmuring for weeks now. Many admitted that they’ve stopped watching Wife. Now going back to Khanyi, the actress to her Twitter as we’ve already said to complain that after studying the character and the book, she feels disappointed that she isn’t telling the story as it is in the book.
