Kelvin Momo slammed for failing to show up at Sun City Resort gig

Kelvin Momo’s no-show at Sun City event lands him in hot water

Amapiano star Kelvin Momo has once again left his fans and organisers hanging after failing to honour a scheduled performance at Sun City Resort on Saturday, 16 August 2025.

The DJ, who was fully booked, contracted and paid for, never arrived for his slot, according to a statement shared by the resort.

The organisers apologised to disappointed attendees, adding that neither Momo nor his management responded to requests for an update on the night.

This isn’t the first time the producer has been called out for such behaviour.

Earlier this year, he made headlines when fans feared he wouldn’t make it to the Red Bull Symphonic, and he was previously dragged into a R3 million lawsuit after ditching a tour in Australia.

South Africans on social media were quick to react. @mo_memz fumed: “Please sue. Enough is enough 🙏🏾.”

Another user, @keitumetse_rogers, added: “Wasn’t he sued in Australia for the same thing?”

Meanwhile, @molewa tried to lighten the mood, saying: “Bona! @murdahbongz was the best replacement, frankly, we don’t even know this @kelvinmomo_ character. Fun was had! Dankie Sun City! 👌🏾💃🏻🎶😍”
