Kelvin Momo apologises after a no-show at Sun City resort

Amapiano hitmaker Kelvin Momo has finally broken his silence after failing to appear at the highly anticipated Sun City Resort gig on Saturday, 16 August 2025.

The DJ, who came under fire from fans and social media users for not showing up despite being booked and paid for, has issued a heartfelt apology to the organisers, the venue, and the fans who turned out to see him perform.

In his statement, Momo admitted responsibility for the no-show, saying:

“I would like to sincerely apologize to Sun City Resort, the event organizers, and most importantly, all the fans and guests for my absence and the disappointment caused by my non-attendance… I deeply regret any inconvenience, frustration, or confusion caused by this situation. This was never my intention, and I take full responsibility for not being present as expected.”

He explained that unforeseen circumstances and miscommunication contributed to the situation but acknowledged that he should have responded more promptly to organisers.

“I am working closely with my team to ensure that something like this does not happen again in the future,” he added.

Despite the backlash, the Amapiano star expressed gratitude to his supporters and promised to make it up to them.

“I am truly grateful for your support and understanding, and I hope to make it up to you at a future event… I am sincerely sorry for letting you down,” Momo said.
