Kate Middleton sends supportive message to women’s rugby team

Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, recently surprised her fans with a heartfelt message while enjoying a quiet summer break with her family.

The 43-year-old royal took to the official social media profiles she shares with Prince William to send her best wishes to the England women’s rugby team. She did this ahead of the Women’s Rugby World Cup.

WOMEN IN SPORT

The Princess of Wales affectionately signed the note with just ‘C,’ which stands for Catherine. She showed her strong support for the team nicknamed the Red Roses, according to People.

“Wishing the Red Roses the very best as they kick off their Women’s Rugby World Cup campaign tonight.

I look forward to cheering you on and seeing the team rise to the challenge on home soil!” she wrote, reposting a graphic from the squad.

Kate’s message carries special significance as she is a patron of both the Rugby Football Union and Rugby Football League.

Her direct encouragement reflects her close connection to the sport at a time when the tournament, highly anticipated in the UK, is beginning.
