Kaizer Chiefs youngster to join Nkota in Saudi?

Kaizer Chiefs have introduced some of the most exciting youngsters in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) over the past two years.

Young players such as Naledi Hlungwane and Aden McCarthy have been impressive, having made their debuts under Nasreddine Nabi. Before that, Mfundo Vilakazi, Wandile Duba, Mduduzi Shabalala and Samkelo Zwane all impressed.

One player who stood out the most last season was Wandile Duba. The 21-year-old played a major role in helping Amakhosi end their trophyless drought. He scored against Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup semi-final to help his side claim a 2-1 win over their rivals.

In the final, Kaizer Chiefs defeated Orlando Pirates by the same scoreline to claim their first trophy in 10 years.

Duba’s heroics caught the attention of a Saudi Arabian club, according to agent Mike Makaab.

“There was interest in Duba from Saudi Arabia. It was just an interest, and there was no offer on the table. He will remain at Kaizer Chiefs,” he said on Extra Time Sports on Gagasi FM.

Since being promoted in January 2023, Duba has played 44 matches for Kaizer Chiefs across all competitions, scoring six goals and providing four assists. He has not shown the same form this season after just five matches.

Will Kaizer Chiefs sell Duba?

With 10 new signings made this season, Amakhosi have depth in every department. Duba has not shown the form and quality he displayed during the Nedbank Cup and if any good offer is made, Chiefs will take it.

Should Chiefs sell Duba?
