George Matlou’s future at Naturena seems to have taken a positive turn. The talented player, who was once considered unwanted at Kaizer Chiefs, is now reportedly in line for a contract extension with the Glamour Boys.

A source told SoccerLaduma that the technical team was impressed by his performance and attitude this season and recommended that he stay at the club for another year.

“Management has agreed to offer him a one-year contract plus a one-year option. His current contract expires in June 2024, so he could be at the club until 2026 if the option is exercised.” DOLLY RETURNS FROM INJURY Kaizer Chiefs did not have much to celebrate after losing their first home league match of the season, and their fourth overall, to Cape Town City.

However, they did welcome back Keagan Dolly from a long injury layoff. The former Montpellier star came on as a substitute after recovering from a serious knee injury that sidelined him since April. It was a small consolation on a frustrating night. Chiefs have only lost one home league match this term, but they have also drawn two games without scoring. Chiefs fans, what do you think of Matlou getting a new deal at Naturena? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
