Nabi came out saying that negotiations between his team and Chiefs were still ongoing, going as far as saying that a decision could be made in 58 hours. That type of update would have filled some Amakhosi fans with confidence that they could finally get their man. But now, according to kickoff.com. Amakhosi may be looking to have him play a senior role along side Zwane next season!
Nabi and Zwane to be co-coaches at Chiefs?
“Nabi is talking to Kaizer Chiefs, but nothing has been finalized yet, there’s a big interest from the club, Nabi also wants to come to coach Chiefs, but nothing has been finalized yet. Arthur Zwane is not going anywhere there, Chiefs wants them to work together. They want them to be joint coaches or co-coaches. So far, Nabi doesn’t have a problem with that, Nabi doesn’t have a problem working with coach Arthur Zwane. Remember it’s Arthur who knows the culture of the club, it’s not true that Nabi will take Arthur Zwane’s place. It’s the club that needs to make a decision not Nabi, they know what he wants. Nabi’s salary is not a problem, everything has been agreed, but a decision will be made anytime this week. Chiefs are happy about coach Nabi.” Said the source to the same publication.
