Kaizer Chiefs v Stellenbosch FC: Date, Kickoff time, TV channel

Kaizer Chiefs will resume their Betway Premiership campaign after a spirited showing in the CAF Confederation Cup

Amakhosi narrowly missed out on the knockout phase on goal difference after collecting 10 points in Group D. Needing just a draw to reach the knockout stages, the Glamour Boys lost 2-1 to Zamalek in Egypt, with Al Masry defeating Zesco United.

The defeat means Chiefs are likely to finish the season without silverware unless they can string a run of good results and challenge Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates for the league.

When are Kaizer Chiefs playing Stellenbosch?

Amakhosi host Stellies at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday, 24 February, where three points will be the intended outcome.

The fixture comes shortly after the two sides met in the Nedbank Cup earlier this month, adding further significance to the encounter.

Amakhosi are in 4th place with 30 points from 15 matches played. Stellies, who also exited the Confederation Cup, lie 13th, with 15 points from 15 outings.

Kaizer Chiefs have struggled somewhat against Stellenbosch, losing to them in two cup competitions this season.

Their Tuesday fixture also serves as a key build-up to the highly anticipated Soweto Derby, which takes place four days later. Defeat or draw against Stellies might see them lose ground on the leaders.

Kick-off for the mouthwatering clash between the Glamour Boys and the Winelands team is scheduled for next Tuesday at 19:30. The match will be live on SuperSport.

Can Stellies upset Chiefs or will Amakhosi find a way?
