Kaizer Chiefs made it two wins from as many matches this Betway Premiership season against Polokwane City at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Siphesihle Ndlovu scored the only goal of the match in the 79th minute.

Amakhosi were coming off a 2-0 win away to Stellenbosch FC in their opener last Sunday.

Perfect record

The Glamour Boys boast a perfect six points after two matches this season and sit top of the early standings.

Perhaps most satisfying for the Amakhosi faithful is that they are six points ahead of bitter rivals Orlando Pirates.

Kaizer Chiefs will next be in action at home against Richards Bay on Tuesday, 19 August at 19:30.

Kaizer Chiefs starting XI

Petersen, Cross, McCarthy, Miguel (captain), Monyane, Cele, Mthethwa, Shabalala, Duba, Lilepo, Sirino

Substitutes: Ntwari, Frosler, Kwinika, Mako, Ngcobo, Ndlovu, Mmodi, Vilakazi, Du Preez Coach: Khalil Ben Youssef
