Kaizer Chiefs starting 11 vs Marumo Gallants

Kaizer Chiefs have switched things up as fixture congestion forces rotation in tonight’s Betway Premiership trip to Marumo Gallants.

Fresh off a 1–0 CAF Confederation Cup win over ZESCO United, Amakhosi now play their third match in eight days, with the return leg in Durban still to come. Managing legs and energy is now the priority.

Gallants, coached by Alexandre Lafitte, sit 12th on the table and have endured an inconsistent campaign. They are just three points above the relegation zone and haven’t tasted a league win since October.

Still, they’ve shown bright flashes, beating Orlando Pirates and Chippa United, and reaching the Carling Knockout final, where they narrowly lost to the Sea Robbers in extra time.

But Kaizer Chiefs arrive with momentum. They are third on the standings, unbeaten in their last eight league matches, and pushing for a third straight win in 2026.

KAIZER CHIEFS STARTING 11 CHANGES VS MARUMO GALLANTS

At the back, Aden McCarthy shifts into central defence to replace Inacio Miguel, while Paseka Mako steps in at left-back.

Midfield sees Nkosingiphile Ngcobo come in for Siphesihle Ndlovu. In attack, Mduduzi Shabalala takes over the number 10 role from Khanyisa Mayo, while Asanele Velebayi slots in on the right wing. Glody Lilepo also comes into the side in place of Mfundo Vilakazi.

Up front, Khanyisa Mayo moves into the striker role, replacing Flavio Silva.
