Kaizer Chiefs have landed a new high-profile attacking signing.

Last season, the Glamour Boys struggled bitterly in front of goal, scoring just 25 goals in 28 league matches.

To remedy the situation the Amakhosi then welcomed Flavio Silva and Etioso Ighodaro to Naturena.

Now, the club have announced the acquisition of another striker who the club have been chasing for years!

Kaizer Chiefs sign Khanyisa Mayo

Kaizer Chiefs took to social media on Friday evening to confirm the acquisition of Khanyisa Mayo!

Mayo was on the books of Algerian giants CR Belouizdad, however the club opted against registering him for the 2025/26 campaign.

He made 41 appearances for the Algerian side, scoring six goals while assisting one more.

The terms of the deal remain uncertain for now. However, one thing for sure is that Khanyisa Mayo will be a Kaizer Chiefs player for the 2025/26 campaign!

Kaizer Chiefs have been long-time admirers of Mayo!

“Before his move to Belouizdad, Mayo was close to joining Chiefs. His agent Basia Michaels confirmed at the time that Amakhosi were moments away from signing him,” a Citizen report read.

“Michaels also revealed that Mayo was keen to join Chiefs, the club that his father, Patrick Mayo, played for during his playing career.”

Can Chiefs win the league?

Do Kaizer Chiefs have what it takes to win the league? With the arrival of Khanyisa Mayo, are their chances boosted?
