Kaizer Chiefs sign Orlando Pirates and Sundowns stars

Kaizer Chiefs have made some big signings from Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Kaizer Chiefs have officially signed players from both Pirates and Sundowns.

Let’s take a look at all their Bucs and Masandawana player recruitments.

CHIEFS SIGN PIRATES DUO

Paseko Mako and Thabiso Monyane both joined Chiefs from Pirates before the start of the season.

Meaning, Amakhosi have killed two birds with one stone.

Chiefs have strengthened their defence. Whilst, weakening the Bucs defence.

So far, Mako has been solid at the back for Amakhosi. Meanwhile, Monyane is still finding his feet at Naturena following the first few rounds of the BetWay Premiership. Both ex-Pirates players joined Chiefs at the same time when they became their fifth and sixth respective signings.


AMAKHOSI SIGN SUNDOWNS STRIKER

Etiosa Ighodara joined Chiefs from Mamelodi Sundowns.

“Kaizer Chiefs have acquired the services of another striker, Etiosa Ighodaro. The 24-year-old Nigerian arrived in South Africa in July 2021 and has played for several PSL outfits, scoring a total of 25 goals in 97 appearances. He spent last season on loan with AmaZulu FC. Introducing the Club’s latest signing, Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr. said, “We warmly welcome Etiosa into the Kaizer Chiefs family. We’re excited that he has joined our journey. His passion, work rate and dedication will surely add to the team this season and beyond. We look forward to creating unforgettable moments together in the Gold & Black colours of the Glamour Boys. Here’s to new beginnings and the spirit of Amakhosi,” Chiefs revealed in an official statement across all their socials

Meaning, he is officially Amakhosi’s newest striker. He joins Flavio Silva as the other new Chiefs striker signed this transfer window.
