Kaizer Chiefs set to make huge coaching announcement

Posted on October 9, 2025

It’s a strange time to be a Kaizer Chiefs fan. The Amakhosi started the season well, going undefeated in their opening five matches.

Then, things began to go pear shaped for the Glamour Boys. Head coach Nasreddine ‘left’ the club in a rather mysterious way and the victories began to slow down.

Kaizer Chiefs’ only official correspondence regarding Nabi’s situation at the club was also extremely vague.

Kaizer Chiefs reach final Nabi decision?

At the time, the club had the following to say: “Nasreddine Nabi is currently not with the team as discussions between the Club and the Coach remain ongoing,” an official club statement read.

Now, three-weeks later, more light has finally been shed on the matter.

According to the latest reports, Kaizer Chiefs and Nabi have reached an agreement to finally part ways.

The delay was caused by both the parties failing to meet each other on the contract settlement terms.

“The delay in the separation was due to the two parties not agreeing on the settlement terms,” an insider told Soccer Laduma.

“Eventually, they had to compromise. And both sides have now reached an agreement to part ways. The club’s announcement could come as early as Friday or over the weekend.”

Next Amakhosi fixture revealed

It remains to be seen whether Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze will remain at the club.

Regardless, the Kaizer Chiefs train must continue moving forward.

After the international break, Chiefs have a string of important fixtures!

The Glamour Boys have three fixtures in the space of a week up next.

Kaizer Chiefs travel to the DR Congo to face FC Simba on 18 October in the CAF Confederations Cup.

They’re then due to face Siwelele FC in the Betway Premiership four days later before hosting FC Simba in the return leg on the 24th.
