Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly grabbed another signature as the Glamor Boys continue to benefit from the lifting of the FIFA embargo.

According to Siya sources privy to Naturena moves, the Chiefs and Richards Bay agreed on the trade of Austin Dube, defender now with Bafana Bafana at the COSAFA Cup.

The chiefs have been following the player for several months now and offering their time till the sanction to sign new players has been lifted in early July.

Dube, 28, was one of the outstanding Richards Bay players in the GladAfrica Championship and was part of the team that soon shocked him to become a new Nedbank Cup employer in the second round in February.

The new coach Stuart Baxter will be added to the list of six players who have joined Chiefs (see gallery below) before next season.

The new players at The Village were not officially informed by sources that Siya’s management wanted the team to concentrate entirely on what has been their greatest task to far – the CAF Champions League final on 17 July.

Amakhosi faces Al Ahly of Pitso Mosimane in Morocco and only then will official announcements concerning individuals who leave and join the club.

At the end of the COSAFA Cup now under way in Gqeberha, Dube is then anticipated to report for service to the national squad.
