Kaizer Chiefs FC are set to welcome a key player back to their squad this week.

This weekend, Chiefs host Stellenbosch ahead of a massive six-pointer.

The Glamour Boys face arch rivals Orlando Pirates next weekend at the FNB Stadium.

Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze head into the clash under immense pressure. This comes after they were dramatically dumped out of the CAF Confederation Cup last weekend.

This means that Kaizer Chiefs’ only hope to win a trophy this season is by lifting the Betway Premiership title.

Cele set to finally return for Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs look set to welcome Thabo Cele back to action at the club.

Cele was out injured since the beginning of the year.

Now, according to the latest reports, the diminutive midfielder is finally fit and ready to resume full training with the club.

“In what will come as a relief, the Siya crew has been reliably informed that Cele has recovered from his injury and is likely to return to full training this week,” a Soccer Laduma report read.

Thabo Cele joined Kaizer Chiefs at the beginning of last year.

He has made 29 appearances for the club so far, all coming in 2025.

Now, he may finally return for the club this weekend against Stellenbosch.

Kaizer Chiefs will undoubtedly be hoping to have him fully fit and ready for Orlando Pirates next weekend.
